DIY: gossip from the heart

I went back to show you how gossip heart-shaped mold using Clover super. This site has a tutorial on how to gossip in the race, but I like the practicality thought best to use atemplate ready, making my life. The mold is on sale in shops patchwork good, mine isPaulinia Shop (tel 11 3032-8799 / 3031-1039). But there is another legal option, which is win one of these here in Superziper. Read the end of the post to learn how:) The promotion was CLOSED

1. Separate the mold, retail fabric, needle, thread and small scissors.
2. The mold is composed of two parts the "base" and "cover". With it you will be able to do a gossip about 2, 0 cm. Get to work! Place the fabric on the part of the pattern down,as shown in photo.

3. Close the lid and pressing, leaving the fabric burnt to a crisp in the mold.
4. Go with scissors trimming the edges of the fabric, leaving 0.3 to 0.5 cm margin.

5. Give a "chop" with the scissors within the range that sits on top of the heart.
6. Thread the needle and tie a little knot at the tip. Starting the hole to the left of the mold base, pass the line from the inside out.

7. The little knot the end of the line is in, see?
8. Continue sewing the inside of the holes on the outside of the mold and counter-clockwise. Every point you will sew the edges of the fabric so that they are inside.

9. Attention in time to sew the base, bend the tip of the fabric as shown in photo 10

11. Notice that the last point will override the first point where you started sewing.
12. Carefully remove the fabric from the mold.

13. 're Almost there! Pull the thread carefully and go curling your gossip and adjustingthe format.
14. Give a tight little knot and cut the line left. If you want to decorate the center preach asmall bud, or let the natural beads!

Macrame belt tutorial

You will need threads or yarn and a buckle of some kind, in this example, I've used
two metal rings. You can also leave a bit of yarn in the beginning and the end, so
you can tie the belt instead of locking it .

Prepare two thread bunches with four threads in each.

Make square knots on the middle of buth of them.

Put one of the threads through both of the rings and fold the square knots you've made in half as in the picture above. Make a pair of square knots so its secured on the rings. Do the same thing with the other thread bunch.

The two bunches should now be split in four. Divide them so you get four threads in each bunch.

Make square knots of the four bunches. 5 on the outer and 3 on the inner.

Make a shared square knot with the four threads in the center.

Split them up again and make three more square knots.

Now put the threads together in two groups again. Take the four middlest threads in each group (a) and tie a square knot of these (b). Do the same to both sides.

Repeat steps 5 to 8 until you've got a belt in proper length. You might have add strings as you tie. Finish the belt with a overhand knot and leave a fringe at the end (see the first image in the tutorial).

Flower gifts: Edible Centerpiece, The Veggie Bouquet tutorial

edible vegetable bouquet
Most of you have probably seen an edible bouquet before – usually of the fruit or cookie variety – but this particular design is definitely a stand-out!
The edible veggie bouquet pictured above is from Marley Majcher‘s 40th Birthday Party (more details coming soon) and serves as great inspiration for a super-stylish take on this idea… from the choice and arrangement of the veggies to the chic display in a simple glass cylinder vase filled with black lentils.
This would be an impressive addition to the appetizer buffet for everything from parties & showers to Mother’s Day brunch! Here’s another design that features skewered veggies spraying from a melon “basket” garnished with thyme:

I’m also loving the idea of doing “mini versions” of edible bouquets for guests in lieu of individual salads – and serving them in small terracotta pots with a side of veggie dip. I’m definitely going to play around with that idea soon… =)
And below is a video I found with some DIY info on creating edible bouquets… You do have to sit through a 30-second ad to get to the video, but once you get to it, there’s some good DIY info in there about 2 types of edible bouquets: one fruit version and one veggie version featuring clever “roses” make from asparagus and radishes.

Flower arrangement tutorial: SIMPLE FLOWER + TEAPOT CENTERPIECE

Flower arrangement tutorial: SIMPLE FLOWER + TEAPOT CENTERPIECE
With only a few simple supplies and some affordable blooms you can create a sweet teapot centerpiece that will look like it took you loads more time and effort that it really did.
You will need:
  • A teapot of any variety (lid not needed) | You can often find affordable used pots at thrift stores, if you don't already have one on hand.
  • Flowers with full blooms | I used two bunches of daffodils from our local grocery store for this project. These flowers are great because they are in season right now and super affordable (under $3 a bunch)...but you can really use anything from roses and tulips to lilacs or lilies in your centerpiece in their place. You could even make yours with greenery or flowers that you've scavenged from the outdoors. Pick a favorite bloom and run with it.
  • Pruning shears or scissors | Shears will obviously work best and may be necessary depending on the type of flower you use, but scissors can be used if you prefer (just be aware that thick stems may damage your scissors).
  • Floral frog (optional) | You can find cheap floral frogs at your local craft store (mine was only about $2). For this project they are very helpful but not entirely necessary. In place of a floral frog you could also use marbles, pebbles, etc.
How to:
  • Carefully set your floral frog inside your teapot and fill pot 1/2 way with cold water.
  • Snip the ends of your flowers one at a time and insert them inside teapot, securing with floral frog. I'm sure there is a correct way to do this, but I'm not a floral designer so I just started by adding my tallest blooms to the center and then began to fill around and under those with shorter blooms. I think the beauty of a bouquet like this is that it the fullness of the flowers really helps you out and hides any patches that you might have missed.
  • Place your handmade centerpiece on your table or tie a tag on the handle and give as a gift to an unsuspecting friend (don't forget to include the lid)! Enjoy! xo Ez
