DC - Double Crochet
HDC - Half Double Crochet
CH - Chain
SL ST - Slip Stitch

Materials
Size I/5.5 mm crochet hook
4 ply yarn
Tapestry Needle

Work a chain of 26

Row 1: Skip the first chain work a double crochet in the next stitch. *Skip a chain, work 3 double crochet in the next chain.  Skip 1 chain, work 1 DC in the next chain. Continue across from *. Turn 

Row 2: Work a chain 1, this will not count as a stitch.  It is the step up to the next row.  Work 2 Double Crochet in the first stitch, Work 1 DC in the second stitch of next 3 stitches. *Work 3 DC in the next stitch. Work 1 DC in the second stitch of next 3 stitches. Continue across from *.  Work 2 DC in the last stitch. Turn.

Row 3: Work a chain 1, this will not count as a stitch.  It is the step up to the next row.  Work 1 DC in the same stitch, work 3 DC in the next stitch, *Work 1 DC in the second stitch(center) of next 3 stitches.  Work 3 DC in the next stitch. Continue across from *. Work 1 DC in the last stitch.

Stitch Instructions and DefinitionsRight Hand Version - Front Post Double Crochet - Wrap the yarn over your hook, insert the hook to the right of the post, between the stitches, around the back and through the opposite side between the stitches on the left side of the post. Wrap the yarn over, pull it through, complete the double crochet.


Left Hand Version - Front Post Double Crochet - Wrap the yarn over your hook, insert the hook to the left of the post, between the stitches, around the back and through the opposite side between the stitches on the right side of the post.. Wrap the yarn over, pull it through, complete the double crochet.


Stem
Chain 3, join.
Round 1:  Work 9 SC through the ring. Do not join. Work Continual round.
Round 2:  Work 2 SC in each stitch around. (18 single crochet total)
Round 3-6: Work 1 SC in each stitch around (18 single crochet total) Slip stitch in the next stitch to even off the round. Cut the yarn, pull through, give it a tug to secure.


Attach the new color of yarn with a slip stitch to any stitch.
Round 7: Ch 1, this will not count as a stitch, only the step up. Work 2 Double Crochet in each stitch around. Join with the beginning stitch.  (36 Double Crochet Total)


Round 8: Ch 1, this will not count as a stitch, only the step up to the next round.  *Work a FPDC in each of the next 2 stitches, work a HDC in the next stitch. Continue around from *.  Join with the beginning stitch upon completion of the round.   (36 Stitches Total)


Round 9: Ch 1, this will not count as a stitch, only the step up to the next round. *Work a FPDC in the next stitch.  Work 2 FPDC in the next stitch.  This is an increase. Work a HDC in the next stitch.  Continue around from *.  Join with the beginning stitch upon completion of the round.   (48 Stitches Total)


Round 10-15: Ch 1, this will not count as a stitch, only the step up to the next round. *Work a FPDC in each of the next 3 stitches, Work a HDC in the next stitch.   Continue around from *.  Join with the beginning stitch upon completion of the round.   (48 Stitches Total)


Cut the yarn and sew in the tail upon completion.


Leaf
Chain 10. 
Work 1 SC in each of the next 3 chains. Work 1 HDC in each of the next 3 chains. Work 1 DC in each of the next 2 chains. Work 3 SC in the next chain.  1 DC in each of the next 2 chains. Work 1 HDC in each of the next 3 chains. Work 1 SC in each of the next 3 chains. Join with the beginning stitch.

Quando a gente pensa que já viu de tudo em matéria de pontos, linhas e formas de se tecer, descobre-se algo bastante interessante e, embora muito antigo, pensa-se algo inovador. Encontrei a matéria no site Ervilha Cor de Rosa, de Portugal.

É uma técnica de croche em que se usa uma agulha de barbela e uma régua e que só se consegue fazer com pelo de cabra, porque com qualquer outro fio o cordão não forma os mesmos caracóis perfeitos e o ponto não fica com a mesma definição.

Na falta deste, pois aqui no Brasil não existe esse fio, pode-se usar o Mohair, que é macio e tem um excelente caimento.

Materials
Size H/5mm crochet hook
4 ply yarn

Continual Round - Instead of joining, insert your hook below the two loops at the top of the first stitch to work the first stitch of the next round.  The purpose of the continual round is to eliminate a a seam that will occur with joining rounds.


Single Crochet Decrease
Put your hook through the first stitch, wrap the yarn over the hook and pull it through.  Leave the two loops on your hook.  Put your hook through the next stitch, wrap the yarn over and pull it through.  There are 3 loops on your hook.  Wrap the yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.  This is joining two stitches down to one stitch.


Mushroom Stem 1
Chain 3 join.
Round 1:  Work 6 single crochet through the chain.  I am working around the chain. I find this makes a neater appearance.  You can work through the chain if you prefer. Do not join.  Work through the top of the first stitch for the continual round.
Round 2: Work 2 single crochet in each stitch around. (12 Single Crochet Total)
Round 3 - 12: 1 single crochet in each stitch around. (12 Single Crochet Total)  


To end the round and even it off, work a slip stitch in the next stitch.





Mushroom Stem 2
Chain 3 join.
Round 1:  Work 6 single crochet through the chain.  I am working around the chain. I find this makes a neater appearance.  You can work through the chain if you prefer. Do not join.  Work through the top of the first stitch for the continual round.
Round 2: Work 2 single crochet in each stitch around. (12 Single Crochet Total)
Round 3: *Work 1 single crochet in the next stitch, work 2 single crochet in the next stitch. Continue around to the beginning from *  (18 Single Crochet Total) 
Round 4: Work 1 SC in each stitch around  (18 Single Crochet Total) 
Round 5: *Work 1 SC, Work a single crochet decrease. (See above for single crochet decrease details) (12 Single Crochet Total)
Round 6-12:  Work 1 single crochet in each stitch around.  (12 Single Crochet Total)


Mushroom Top
Work a chain 3, join
Round 1: Work 9 single crochet through the chain. Do not join, work the continual round. (9 single crochet total)
Round 2: Work 2 single crochet in each stitch around. (18 single crochet total)
Round 3: 1 SC in each stitch around ( 18 single crochet total)
Round 4: *Work 1 SC, in the next stitch work 2 SC, continue around ( 24 single crochet total)
Round 5-7: Work 1 SC in each stitch around  (24 single crochet total) 
Round 8:  *Work 1 single crochet in each of the next 2 stitches, work a single crochet decrease, repeat around.  ( 18 single crochet total)
Round 9: *Work 1 single crochet in each of the next 7 stitches, work a single crochet decrease. Complete a total of 2 times from *. (16 single crochet total)  Work a slip stitch in the next stitch.


Sew in all the tails.  


Chain
Work a chain of 125-150 or  you can work the long twisted rope.  Sew and secure the chain/twist to one side of the mushroom stem at the top of the stem.  Insert your crochet hook through round 3/4 of the mushroom from the top to the inside, wrap the chain/twist over the hook and pull it through.  Inside your hook from the bottom side of the mushroom to the top, between round 3/4, wrap the chain/twist over your hook and pull it through.  Pull the chain down so it does not pull back through.  Lower the mushroom top over the stem to make sure it looks even.  Once it looks even, sew the chain/twist to the opposite side of the mushroom. Sew in all the tails.
